Default d16 running rich

can anybody help me how to make da d16 not run rich,i tried timing it by ear. but it still runs rich.What can be the cause of fuel running rich?

The first thing you can do is check the timing with a timing gun. My mechanic and I tried adjusting it by hand, it was DEFINITELY always off. After you time it, if it's still running REALLY rich, even with advancing/retarding the timing, there is a possibility that your timing belt might of skipped a tooth.
