Default Torque Wrench

Just curous to know what a good torque wrench to buy is. I want to buy once that i can use with ALL parts for my car. Is that possible? there's 2 that craftsman makes

3/8 drive 5-80ft lbs and 10-75ft lbs. Whats the max torque spec for any given part on a honda? motor / suspension wise

There is also a 1/2"drive for 20-150 ft lbs. of torque and the other for 25-250ft lbs.

Im thinking the 20-150ft lbs or the 5-80 ft lbs wrench will work.

Whats the difference between 3/8' and 1/2" drive? Which do i need? thanks for the help. yeah i dont know **** about tools.

You're gonna need both of these if you're working on any car

Go to sears and get craftsman part numbers 44596/44597. It will cost about $190 plus tax.

IMO these are the best. The red box is for storage. It's sold seperately and can only be purchased online from sears.

The 3/8" wrench is adjustable in .5 lb increments from 5-80 ft.lbs.
The 1/2" wrench is adjustable in 2 lb increments from 25-250 ft.lbs.
Also displays newton-meters. The best display ever.

The tightest bolt on a honda is the axle nut (134 ft.lbs).
The difference is the amount of torque they can handle before breaking. I snapped a 3/8" breaker bar trying to remove an axle nut once. The axle nut was no match for my 1/2 drive breaker bar.

I just bought the 44596 yesterday and used it to torque my brake parts back together, I LOVE the display, no more stupid hash marks or turning the handle for 3 days to choose the torque you want. Now I just need to get the 44597 for the larger jobs.

for the Digitork's!

i have the 1/2" craftsman 1 and i think it sucks only because the black grip part came loose and now is all jacked up where you can twist and move it around so you cant tell wat the exact torque spec is, thats the only downside on the the digitork, do yall know if i could get it replaced, there is no warrenty on it like sockets if they break
