Default How much can we bore out on the F23, 2.3 to ?

i'm i the process of building my block, everything is apart. since i already have everything out, i was thinkin might as well bore the block out. my only question is, how much can i increase my displacement? how much can i bore out?

btw........this is on a boosted accord. i need opinions, the stock rods held 17psi easy, i have tested them out myself. the thing that gave out was the ring lands, but that was from shitty gas and running it hard while there was extreme knock. i'm just going to rebuild the block using all new seals and bearings, only thing ima change is ARP headstuds and forged pistons. i'm only looking to make around
300-350whp on this block.

i dont think i have ever seen a bored out F23, any and all opinions are welcomed.

since your planning on boosting it pretty heavy i wouldnt bore anymore more than needed. the thinner you make those cylinder walls the weaker it gets. you need to mike your cylinders to see what needs to be done, just cause it looks in good shape doesnt mean anything.
my builder tore my f22 down last week and it needs ten thousanths taken out. i ordered the pistons .5mm oversize which is 20 thousanths just to be safe.

If I remember correctly you can go to as far as 89mm. This is from what Earl mentioned but dont quote me on this.. lil fuzzy. However since you will be boosting you might want to skip going that far and keep as much meat as possible for rebuild and strength. I remember reading something about a bigger bore on HT concerning boosted apps and the result was basically a 500rpm faster spool time. Any power gained from the bore can be regained from a similar engine running more boost since it has more strength in the sleeves to handle it.

You will have more power while off boost though, so it is up to you what you want. Btw, you still have your turbo kit for sale?

i haven't seen anything over 87mm on stock sleeves.

but why? turn up the boost instead of trying to increase displacement. With our shitty r/s ratio I wouldn't push the cyl ways any more.
