Default poor mans type r

Here's my question and concern......

I dropped my B18C1 block off at the maching shop and when i went to pick it up it had some damage on the deck, how it got there I dont know and either do they (SURE), anyways it looks like to get the damage off its going to take about 18thous. off the top to clean it up. Now my concern is, im going to take 18 off the deck and I already took 8 off of the head to clean that up, im going to be running ctr .25 over pistons. So what i have is a gsr bottom end with b16a head ported running stock valves, that might be important also to factor in. I'm worried about piston to valve clearance with a stock head gasket, also if im going to be able to run bigger cams then i already have which are ctr cams. Now i know i could just throw a thicker head gasket on it and call it a day but i want to know if i would be safe to throw this together with a stock head gasket and run buddy club spec III. Also helf me out on what the compression would be along with the clearance that im going to have. thanks any help is greatly appreciated.

Best bet would probably be to clay the engine.

Huh? Want to reword that? re you asking how much YOURS would be worth w/ 63k on it?
Really I wouldnt sell a bare block for more then 250. With perfectly working internals, and 63K on it, maybe 350 tops.

My setup is close to yours i got a jdm b18c stock piston with a b16 head milled 35-40 thousandth with buddy club with a stock head gasket and my clearance is fine.
