newaneed help:: my si's engine check light is on but i need to pass smog ASAP!!

probably need to replace the cat as i do. Try to reset the ecu by removing the negative battery cable for like 10 minutes then go to get the smog check
. ive got a smog hook up who passed my 98 ex with my light on. we just reset it, i drove around for a while then he did his thing then i got my tags

if you drive your car for at least 15 minutes you'll fail for sure. also with an obd2 ecu you need to do more than just pulling the - battery cable. if i remeber right o2 codes cannot be erased with out a scanner.

no scanner, just need to drive for X amount of miles without the code being thrown again. i wanna say its 50 miles..
