Default emissions

quick question, I need my tags but have to get emissions but cant pass because my check engine light is on....Is there any tricks to get your check engine light to stay off to pass emissions? and please no "get it fixed replys" lol. i will but money is tight and until then i need tags ...thanks

You can pull the bulb out of the cluster, but it'll still blink on the ECU.

what year is the vehical? if it is 95 or older you will pass with it on aslong as it passes while it is on the dyno which if it runs half decent it will

its a 00 hx, Im pretty sure it will pass but I heard if your CEL was on it would fail you automaticaly ....thx for the responses

Yes. OBDII + CEL on = fail.

They will pick up the code still with the scanner so you're still SOL though.
