My friend was making some modifications to the engine and he notice the engine system light was on. He later found out that the emission control equipment was disconnected. He immediately plug it back on. However, the engine light remains on. What solution he should take to resolve the problem.

Try to reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery cable for 1 minute then re connect it.

I would like to say "Thank you". The unplug of the battery seems to do the trick. The light is off now....yahhh!
