auto to maunal swap help!
Do a search. But my friend actually just did this and it was dang hard if you dont know what your doing. A lot of time and patience is needed but you will need a manual tranny " id go with an si or ex tranny but any d-series 5 speed tranny will work," you will need manual transmission pedals, tranny oil (i believe it calls for 10W-30 motor oil though) shift linkage, clutch, flywheel, shifter, shift boot, i believe you will need to get a different tranny mount because the auto and manual ones are differnet, and you will also need to get stuff to make the hydraulic clutch work like clutch master cylinder and any lines involved with that a long with rigging up the ecu to not throw a code either that or get a manual ecu, you will need to rig up your reverse lights to work becasue they wont if you do this until you wire them up a different way. Im probably missing some stuff but thats the majority of it but id do a search though to get a step by step and tips on how to do it. but good luck hope it turns out well
Everything is a direct bolt-in except for the upper tranny mount. You can source all the parts (pedal board, clutch lines, etc.) from a 92-95 Civic or 94-01 Integra. When it comes to the upper tranny mount, I don't know if compaines sell an aftermarket one for the auto to man. conversion, they do when going B series though. Anyway if you want it stock, you need to remove the frame rail mount and weld in one from a manual car, not hard at all. You'll have to do some wiring at the shifter to bypass the auto shift lock and wire up the reverse lights.
I too will be doing this swap next month. My 95 Ex died so I am purchasing a B16A SIR II and it comes with the manul tranny. I am worried having never done this before. I have a list of the parts form this forum. Someone mentioned having to cut a hole in the floor; how is this done? Someone also mentioned having to wire some things (reverse lights & tricking car into thinking that it is in park) and wanted to know how this was done. I have $1000 to spend on the auto to manual conversion and wanted to know if this was going to be enough $$$?

I'm actually in the process of doing this swap right now. Its a pain in the ***. But i'm sure it'll be worth it. I just finished putting everything back together about two hours ago, but now the bitch won't start! (I think I may have gotten a bad starter from the junkyard). Here is what you need to complete the swap ( If I manage to miss anything feel free to correct):
Clutch and brake pedal assemblies
Shift Linkage
Conversion Mount or Manual mount bracket (from Honda, about 30 bucks)
Manual Transmission (Any D series tranny, most people prefer ex/si)
clutch, pressure plate and flywheel
Flywheel and pressure plate BOLTS! Not too many people mention this.
Starter
Clutch cover (another one people usually don't mention)
Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders and associated hydraulic piping
A relay and wire (so you can wire in the clutch switch, bypass the AT interlock system and wire in the reverse lights)
A Manual ECU, i'm told that the AT ECU will work, but it will be in limp mode
Thats all that comes to mind right now. A big write-up 20 (plus pages) is coming soon. If i've missed anything please let me know!
