Well when it comes to Fuel managment I think it would be are you looking to turbo your car or what? I mean I bought one it works well for a small turbo set up. And I love it.

My thoughts is that if you like it, buy it. No matter what any of us say, at the end, it's your decision.

I have one but i took it out of my car. I don't like the vtec crossover change function, as the vafc doesn't account for the timing change at vtec's crossover, until the timing is changed at the stock vtec point by the ecu changing it.

(i.e. setting vtec lower than stock=running on normal timing in vtec (because vafc engaged it) till timing is changed by ecu's normal crossover : setting vtec higher than stock=running in vtec timing because ecu will think its in vtec while its really only on the secondary and primary lobes still til the vafc engages it above the stock point). So i wouldn't suggest messing with the engagement point unless you have hondata, AEM's standalone or some other engine management system, that adjust timing for vtec too.

But for fuel trimming and adding or knock monitoring the vafc2 is great.

if your running turbo....id say go with either hondata or uberdata or something like that...if you are just going to be running N/A i'd say go for the vafc. They work well and look cool inside of the car too. Those are my thoughts, but i had a vafc 1 and liked it better than the vafc 2. The controls are easier and work alittle better i think.

Ilove my VAFC2, nuf said? BTW thanks for mentioning the VTEC timing problem you will run in to when changing the VTEC crossover points. Could this be resolved with a digital ignition system?

Perhaps it could be solved that way, i have never heard of it though. Usually Hondata, Uberdata,AEM or someother type of standalone will sovle the problem easiest.
