I find that the blades from use-enco.com last the longest for me when cutting stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel all one blade... i can get one to last about 2 months around my shop! and i cut A LOT of steel and stainless steel.

Look up there blade that is 7 feet 9 inches long, and for the teeth per inch select 10/14, itll automatically select everything else. Its the best blade i have ever used.

Enco

They sent me a catalog a few weeks ago that's as thick as a telephone book. I'm considering getting a vertical bandsaw from them.

Dense tooth pattern for SS. You want an open pattern for ALu so it doesn't clog. There are also many tooth shapes to choose from for speed and material type, not only tooth pattern.

...is the ****.

Enco end mills They had a set for sale for a while, high speed tool steel, TiN dipped, complete .25 to .75, 4 flute and 2 flute for each, 16 end mills total, in a nice wooden padded case, for 34 bucks. Buying those alone would have cost 80+.

Needless to say, we bought two sets.

16 end mills? thats weak sause man... i buy end mills about 20 at a time but i get there 1/2" roughers, im not a big fan on those kinda sets since 1/2" is almost the only size i use. I been calling my orders in lately so avoid getting stupid chinese end mills. Ive acually slowly been working my way over to getting my end mills from mcmaster-carr... they sell niagaras (USA made) for very resonable price and i can push them like theres no tomorrow and not break them!

FYI, this isn't my shop I'm talking about, it's the school's shop. (WEMS, not NMR). I'm part of both.

But, that set will last all year, and we use specific size end mills; 1/2 rougher is nice (we've had the same one for 2 years), but we need the different sizes.

What Chinese company are you talking about? We had a 3/8ths inch 4 flute disintegrate on us, after one of the designers ordered the cheapest one he could. I can't remember the company it was from though.

I cant remember the company name of them i just know there made in china since it says that right on them but they really are garbage... they would shatter so easily even during finish cuts.

The problem with Chinese end mills is more in the material there made of. Chinese foundrys arent the greatest and there tool steels often time are weak from having a bad mixture which causes chinese made end mills to dull out quickly or even break.

Heres the blade:

I second that. Lenox blades are pretty good. We use them here all day without too many problems.

can these bandsaws cut pipes to make the collectors many sell here on H-T???

I'd figure put the pipe on a slant and start cutting.... do four the same way and put them together to make these collectors.....
