Default Theft Recovery News

Well after numerous days of stressing the police have actually recovered my del sol. I went to look at it and was astonished and baffled. The car wasn't stripped. Dohc vtec motor and engine parts were still intact. Cd deck was gone, emblems, and exhaust, but what kind of theif steals a car and leaves most of the expensive parts behind. What confuses me more is that they actually carved their signature of a last name into the back of the trunk. So now i'm left to believe that theives who did it must know me? Sorry no pictures.

Think they are just stupid and just wanted to joy ride and don't know much about Honda parts value.

Nah, small timers, either not that into performance stuff or lack the tools to remove it. Or they needed to put some space between them and the car, hard to move it without a motor! When my old hatch got stolen, they just took all that same stuff that you are missing. They took my good wheels & put old ones back on, went joyriding til they crashed, then left it.

yea, ditching a car in any place but a city without an engine is a little difficult, can't exactly tow it around without a ton of *****, and can't just ditch it in an alley without questions.

i wouldn't say it was somebody you know, most people that are crazy enough to do that are going to do a full chop.

Slide hammer job?

so true... after mine was recovered, there was nothing left..except my chipped p28, which was needed to run the 450s and turbo setup that was stolen(i still have no idea why they left it).

look into a good security system to avoid this in the future. sounds like it was someone you knew who decided to **** wiht you good. haha did u embarrass anyone in a race lately??
