I always order my stuff for a 95 del Sol VTEC or a 99-00 Si. It's funny really, because one time at the local parts store, the guy tried telling me that there was no DOHC VTEC engine in a del sol in 95.

"I'm sorry that engine didn't come in that car in 95."
"Yes it did."
"No it didn't. It's not listed in my computer. My computer says they didn't come in until 97."
"Your computer is wrong, and it doesn't even matter what ******* year it is, they are the same god damn engine."

Don't go to a parts store that doesn't know jack **** about ANY Japanese cars.

People who work in parts houses are the biggest morons around. One guy tried telling me Acura didn't make a 4 door GSR, another guy told me he swapped an RSX-S head onto his stock block in his 03 Si (Sorry, don't know new engine codes yet). Try using this thread for your replacement B16 parts: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=415090

Go to the honda stealership. I mean dealership. Wow, yesterday I got a OEM filter and three header bolts for $25. And of course the girl that took my cash was to cute, so I had to suck it up and look NOT cheap...

LOL, this is true. Had the same issue with a set of brake pads. They were wrong. In their computer it said it was right.

He told me he would bet his job that it's the correct one. I told him he didn't want to do that.

I then showed him the right pads I had and he had the dumbest stupid look on his face.

i had a similar conversation with a nissan parts guy

"hey i need to find a front chin spoiler for my 97 240sx"
"whats that?"
"its a front lip"
"ok hold on....sorry nissan dosent make one"
"yes they do i know people who have them and have seen them in person"
"sorry nissan dosent make one they are lying to you"
"ok dude if you say so"
"id stake my job on it, if its not in my computer nissan dosent make it"
*10 minuets go by while i make a phonecall outside*
"look up this part number 9601581F00"
"ok that part number is for a front chin spoiler 1997-1998 year model"

yea he felt kinda retarded.

just a thought everyone. i have a jdm first gen b16a. wouldn't it be easier to just ask for parts from a 2000 civic si?? the reason i bring this up is because all b16a engines a the same right?? so wouldn't parts from a 2000 civic si engine fit any other b16a, jdm or us???

Not all parts. But mainly the engine components and sensors, yes.

Things like the distributor, Intake manifold, fuel injectors and such are different.

go for the 100% every time and ask for 94+ gsr parts. Everything fits. Thats how I order my parts. Try telling me a 94+ GSR didnt have a DOHC motor in it.
