Default 96 and 98 back seats are different? wtf?

i need to replace my back seat on my 96 coupe, i have an extra 98 back seat lying around and tried to put it in. thing is, the 96 is mounted with 2 hooks that face towards the front, while the 98 has the 2 warts that go straight down. does the 97 have the hooks or the warts? anybody know? and why the hell would stupid honda change the way the freaken back seat is mounted anyway?

My 97 Hatch has the hooks as well... I guess that was one of the things they changed when they facelifted it in the 98 edition.. (like they did with the taillights on the hatch etc)

The exterior facelift and electrical system redesign was for 99-00 models. But there were some other interior changes that seperated the 98 from the 96-97 hatch, most notably the removal of the hatch release option. 98-up can only be opened at the back, there's no cable. Gay!

I had a 96 coupe rear seat that I was selling awhile back. I'm not sure what I did with it though. If I didn't get rid of its all yours if your willing to pay for shipping and maybe toss a few dollars my way.
