Will someone give me a list of all the things I would need to build an engine up from the block. Then tranny info; ecu info; and everything else i would need to know to tear out my old engine and build a new one to put in.

 

well we need to know what block you are starting with and what you want to build ie. d16y8 d16z6 etc vtec non vtec

to build it up from the block you would need an actual engine to replace such a usless piece of metal. It will costs you oodles of $$$$ if all you have is a bare block w/o pistons and stuff.

 

Get a big piece of rock. Buy a air chisel. Start grinding and chiseling away. Soon enough, your motor will take shape!!! Thats how I build mines.

head- valves, valve springs, vavle spring retainers, camshaft, cam gear, thermostat housing, vavle cover, distibutor,
