Default timing issue

I am trying to set the timing on my car, I think the belt skipped some teeth under boost.

I have the white mark on the crank pulley facing up, now on my AEM cam gear the tooth with the O on it should it be facing straight up or toward the firewall?

Everytime I get it facing the firewall the distributor rotor isn't on the #1 cylinder.
