bent frame advice
so i finally found a decent local ef here in bumfuck new mex. got a zc engine and everything. only problem is the guy curbed it and bent the frame. frame was pulled at a professional body shop and he claims when he had the car aligned they coudn't even tell it was in a wreck. i'm looking at this for an autox or rr project. should i consider it or just run the **** away. i'm a bit nervous bout the bout putting the kind of stress that autox would incur on a damaged frame. i'm supposed to go drive it tommorow. any advice with bent/reworked frames would be mutch apreciated. late
I would keep looking. With the old Si hatch I used to have, it had been hit in the front pretty good, and wasn't repaired right the first time, and couldn't be aligned. Spent a lot of money getting it squared up, and it was never really 100% right. It's a lot cheaper and easier to start with a straight car.
that's pretty much what i was thinking but ef's don't come round to often here. specially si's or ones with swaps. and i don't really have the facilities to do my own swap right now. i dunno
