winterizing blown motor car!
My h22 blew a piston and rod so insteading of waisting my money on buying the oem parts to fix it all I just bought a beater car for the winter so I can upgrade instead of just replace.
I searched all over and have the basic list of things I need to do but there is just one question... what rules are different b/c my motor is blow?
They said to put sta-bil in there and RUN it for a while, but I can't, so will the sta-bil hurt?
They also said to replace the oil and filter and RUN it every month or so to keep things lubed up, but I can 't do that either because it doesn't RUN!
I took the pan off and already drained the oil to check out wtf actually happened when it happend so should i plug it all back up good and tight and put new oil in it?
any other tips are welcome!!!
thanks

all I can think of is to pour oil in your head and let it just run down to your oil pan and drain it. Just to keep things from not drying out.
Anyone else think of anything or know what should be done?

he's got a broken piston and rod....the last thing you want to do is try and turn it over and make things worse by doing more damage. Pour some gas stabalizer in the tank to keep it from turning to jello. Turn your key on and off a few times to prime your fuel pump and get the stabilizer into the fuel line and park it on 4 patches of carpet under each tire. Clean the car and cover it with a car cover, leave it to the spring. The head will be fine till then so don't worry about pouring oil in the engine every so often because it won't even come close to lubing everything in there.

, that's what I did for my blown motor car. When it came time to swap the head and stuff over, it went fine.
