Default willem wont burn on MY laptop

I have the willem enhanced and everytime i try and burn a chip on my dell latitude i get a write error but when i install the burner on other laptops they burn chips fine. What is wrong with my laptop or what should i check? I have a dell latitude 500mhz it should burn chips, anyone have anything to try?

Willem advanced, or regular willem??

Mine operates of USB and parallel cable. USB=Power, parallel = signal

Howwever, my parallel port on my laptop is not working, so the burner will not run!
