Default Would this laptop be okay to mess with uberdata?

Dell CPx Laptop
PIII 500MHZ
256 MB RAM
6 GIG Hard Drive
CD-ROM
3Com 10/100MB Ethernet Card
A/C power charger
Battery
1 USB Port

Win XP Pro O/S loaded.

doesthe laptop have a seial port? if so it will be easier to use with uberdata.

if not you will half to get a serial to usb converter.

both work well.

As long as it's a fresh install of XP that's not bogged down by a bunch of spyware and extra programs running you'll be fine. I used to do Uberdata with datalogging on my Dell PIII 366Mhz running XP.

It will work, If you ever want start using RTP and datalogging I think you might want to get a USB hub. Ask around about that, and also make sure that your datalog cable is USB.
