Default 220-250whp b16 what precision?

what precision turbo to use for a low boost setup that yields 220-250whp on a stock b16?

and a garret disco potatoe? how much boost will it need for this goal?
thanks in advance!

You could make those numbers with basically any t3+ turbo...

Precision T3/T4 is almost to big for that power level. The smallest one is the SC50 and that is capable of 400hp.

You would be better off with a small T3 - All of the Precision series turbos seem out of your league for the power you want to make

Not necessarily. If it is configured correctly, he can get it correctly w/ the T3/T04B combination.... this is especially good in case he wants to grow as opposed to just being stuck w/ one setup..

You know how it is.... Once you boost, you'll want more.

You've got PM. I'll set one up for you..

ok but i dont want to go to high on psi.
i dont care about spoolling to much.
full boost @ 3.5krpm aint gonna hook annyway.
i figgured a garret t3to4e 60/63 would make 250whp@10psi
But i aint got a clue about the precisions?
What about the discopotatoe is it a t3t4?
Annybody ever tried it on a stock b16?
Thanks a lot!

get a sc61 and you'll do 250 with 7psi. And you'll be burning people all day long. I got that turbo on a stock ls and i love it.

If a 50-trim isn't making full boost till after 5000 you have a boost leak or an exhaust leak.

Having driven a stock block/SC61 combo, I can absolutely say YUCK. It sucks on the low end, but boy, for that thousand RPM's after the turbo spools it sure is fun

I've got a Precision SC50 on a stock b16. Put down 297whp@ 7k rpm on a Dynopack. Wastegate has 7lb spring but crappy DRAG manifold has the wastegate placed on one cyclinder so car boosts to 11lbs. anyhow the turbo starts spooling up at around 3.5 to 4k. Turbo is good to 400 hp.

made 245whp today with a crappy t-3 (.60/.48) on 8.7psi the turbo cost $50. It spools pretty fast. Oh it was a b17 but it's pretty much the same as a b16 (160hp).

Why wouldnt you want to go high on psi.. Whatever psi it takes to meet your HP goal is what you want.. Youll need a turbo that is efficent for the power you want to make.. And I would care about spooling, you dont want something that takes forever to build boost, its not fun..

I agree. Go with this one. Stage 3 wheel in a .63 housing

your best bet would be to go with a straigh T3, amazing spool times, and you will have a great powerband
