Default jdm b18c-r...best NA motor in its class?

is the type r motor the best motor in its class (sub 2L 4 cyl NA)?

is there another motor that equals it or even beats it?

LOL!

The S2000 engine is much better. It's sub 2L class, because it's 1997 cc. Put a turbo on it, and it's even better.

ehh...i kinda disagree...it might be better in an s2k...but can it be swapped into another civic or integra easily? nada

somebody actually did in a red riced looking hatch. f20 rice hatch = sleeper

Straight from the factory, I would say the AE101 motor (4AGE - 20valve, ITBs) is better than the B18C.

im sure somebody here remembers that hatch from a import show with the f20 in it. its red with stickers on it. stickers add to the riced sleeper look

We are not talking about swaps, right? Just about the engine itself.

I'm no expert, but it seems that the B responds more readily to modifications than the F. Can someone confirm or refute this?

Maybe Honda already max'ed out the F20?
K series are even more sensitive to mods....
