spark plug gap with msd

Default spark plug gap with msd

whats a good gap to set my spark plugs at when using an msd sci ignition kit?

i will be using the ngk spark plugs on a jdm gsr motor.

yea .44

anywhere within 5 hundredths of the stock gap will work just fine

i think it's 1.1mm also, incase that helps

yep a .050 gap would wok well with that MSD setup. which is about 1.25mm.

you typically want to run a smaller gap if you're running boost or nitrous often. This makes it easier to ignite the plug and the mixture which is harder to ignite when it's compressed. A larger gap on a NA motor will give you more power and better gas mileage, but it's normally limited by the weak stock ignition as to how wide you can go. Running a MSD will allow you to increase the gap.
