Default finally fixed idle problem (fitv)

just wanted to say thanks for all the great info i found here on H-T . I was having quite an idle problem while the engine was cold , it would shoot up to 3k and down to 2200 back and forth then as it warmed up it would drop but still bouncing 800 rpm then it was fine once at operating temp . so i removed the fitv valve and rremoved the white cream color piece cleaned everything out with carb cleaner .
then put the white cream color piece back in and tighted it all the way down oh and when i first removed it , it was pretty loose backed out almost all the way . now everything is working great it idle at 1400 when cold then about 850 to 900 at operating temp . for everyone with this problem just SEARCH it solved my problems . thanks gain h-t
