You see just the other day my car starting acting messed up. it felt hard to get it into second, third, and reverse. what could be my problem????

well I already have a new clutch and lightened flywheel, should I just got get the clutchchanged, install flywheel, tighten shift linkage, install short shifter, put new tranny fluid in, and see where i'm at after that???? if that doesn't cure it then maybe I should just bye a gsr tranny some help????

 

you have an ls? just get a gsr tranny anyway.
ls tranny is teh suxorz...

 

oh ya forgot to mention that yes its an ls. i really don't have the money right now but if it had to happen I could come up with it

Did you try checking your transmission fluid to check to see if its low. If its not your trans fluid it might be your clutch. Does your transmisson grind?

 

does it go into gear fine with the engine off?
miles on the clutch?

 

my tranny does not grind at all, i will go check and see if it goes into gear with the engine off....but what would that accomplish???? I am not sure the miles on the clutch I just bought the car 2 weeks ago. It worked great now after about 2 weeks it is not going into 2nd, 3rd, and reverse very well.

edit* i just checked and when the engine is off it goes into all the gears the exact same so its just when the engine is on. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!!!

mileage on transmission, mileage on clutch??

 

well there is 70,000 on the car so i am guessing thats how many are on the tranny. I bought it from some professor up at the local university. so i don' t think it was driven to hard so the clutch most likely has the same amount.

 

usually, when the car all of the sudden doesn't want to go into several gears
but will go into gear with the car off, it means the pressure plate is broken

change out the clutch and pressure plate

 

sweet thanks man, i have a new stage 3 clutch from (Pro Clutch) and pressure plate, as well as an exedy lightened flywheel. my buddy is the manager of midas so i will just have him throw it in.
