ls/vtec PCV system????
well the LS is a 2000 and of course the PCV valve is on the vavle cover there is no hole on the block to mount a PCV box like the older style ls or gsr. how do i mount an OEM PCV system on this thing??? i have tons of b series laying around parts and PCV boxes. the whole idea here is not to go with a breather kit like gready or endyn..
no one knows
well since i cant use oem parts, can i make one or buy one somewhere??
i was thinking of buying a water/ air sepperater from craftsman at sears, then routing one end to the manifold with a hose. but tapping the block where that allen big plug is gonna be problem. i ve seen a few pix here of an aftermarket plug people use for their b20 an dls/vtecs but i cant find them

Wow... I need to get out more... there's not a big damned hole on the backside of the block with a bolt-hole under it? For shizzle.
to "Where'd my PCV go?"
Edit: AcuraAutomotiveparts.org says the PCV box is the same on 2000 LS models, which I would say is correct... although like I said, I'm not sure that I've seen a 2000 model block out of the car... Are you sure you're looking in the right spot?

Well I'll be damned... There really isn't one on the back of the newer blocks? Learn something new every day.
That's basically a catch can though, right? I bought one at wal-mart for like $20.00 (Campbell-housing filter for air compressors... Works outstanding.)
Anyhow, good info... Man that's messed up. Ya gotta have SOMETHING.

i'll give the air compressor water separator a try.

I've read several people on here use a fitting off of the older Prelude (the 2.0L model), and it fits right where the big allen screw is on the back of the block, then you just route that to a PCV/catch-can setup.......PM T-BONE, he has this done on his car.......and then some.......

well i was looking at it today. and there are spots there like the gsr. if i tap a hole on the top then i cut the 1 1/4 inch hole out the bottom it should work. then the PCV box should mount on the LS just like the gsr. before i do this does anyone know the top thread size? and cutting a 1 1/4" hole on the bottom would be ok? or is the block different from gsr, to where i cant punch out the big hole
On all 3 of my LS's there was never threads on the big hole for the PCV box if that's what you're talking about... only threads on the bolt below the box, which you can drill and tap whatever... I'd just take a 10 or 12mm bolt out of something off the car and ch-ching.
Then again, maybe I didn't understand your question.

the pcv box on the gsr has 2 holes on the block that is attached to. the big hole where the pcv box attaches to on the 2000 ls is blocked. the gsr is opened. i bought a 1 1/4" hole saw to open this hole.
the small hole is a threaded insert which i plan on tapping out but i dont know what thread it is
