Crank Pulley Tool
Ok, I know this has been talked about a billion times and I've searched but cannot find an answer.
I'm doing the timing belt, yadda yadda yadda, and I have the crank pulley that does not have the hex shaped hole, so the blue point harmonic balancer tool will not work for me.
I found this website that sells a combination piece, but I was wondering if anyone knows where to get JUST the "non-hex" crank pulley holder.
Here's a link to the site:

Oh yeah...I'm in no way going to jam a screwdriver in my flywheel/tranny case. My car is an auto. We tried jamming a screwdriver in my brother's civic's flywheel and use a breaker bar. We ended up pulling the screwdriver through and cracking the bell housing...so this way is not an option for me.

What good will that do when both wheels are off the ground?

Do this... and i know its off the ground
-Put the Car into 5th gear
-have someone Slam on the brakes for extra locking
-See if you have a Socket Wrench with socket the same size as the holes in the Crank Pulley, .. and you could try putting the socket in one hole, and propping it into something so that the Crank definitely wont turn..... fool aroun with it and you'll find a nice spot ^_- But you'll have to have a decent size wrench...
-Spray the Crank pulley Bolt with lots of PB (parts blaster) or WD40.. let soak for a few minutes
-Get a 1/2' Breaker with i believe the 17mm socket..
-Get a good extension that will reach past the Wheel Well So that you can have leverage
-The Wrench and the extension should now be at a 90 degree angle (Socket Wrench/Breaker + Extension)
Now just slam that bitch as hard as you can while making sure the 17mm is in there good .. stripping is bad
This has worked for me every time... You could even try standing on it if you have a good Breaker and extension.... With the extension past the wheel well you should have enough leverage to snap it loose... and if anything find a pipe or bar, and slide it over the handle of the wrench for even more torque....
This should work... and i've even managed to get it off w/out a Breaker, and just a regular socket wrench.. which was a 3/4 by the way...
Its usually on there good, so just keep trying and pull hard...

I think you missed the point that my car is an automatic...I don't think putting the car in drive will do me much, but I'll try it.
I'll have to look out for that chain type crank pulley...my friend used an insanely large pipe wrench he borrowed from work, but ended up cracking the pulley and having to replace it.
I think I'm just going to borrow a 1200 ft-lb impact from a friend for the time being. I may end up buying that set from toolweb...looks handy.

I would go with securing it and using an impact gun. To get the crank pulley out of my friends ZC, we broke 3 wratchets, 7 sockets, 2 extensions, and actually bent one of those wratchets into an L shape. Thank the LORD Craftsman has a lifetime warranty on all their parts. Alot of liquid wrench was used for it also :D.
BTW Sears hates us now. We had to get 2 managers and a security guard to replace our stuff (as employees would NOT let us do it) after we bought new items and came back 20 minutes later needing them replaced.

That is what we used to secure the crank in place. We didn't like the screwdriver idea either.
