Default Potenza RE010 thread life

I did a search, but couldn't really find an answer.

I got a new set cheap from a friend.

So......what mileage/lifespan should I expect under normal driving condition?

Thanks.

My normal driving... normal for me, I was able to stretch them out for 14k miles, but that was well past the wear bars

The threads get really hot and burn off right away, but the treads last a while longer. Ask Ken/nsxtasy how many miles on are his

Seem the typical amount is 10-15 depending on driving style from older threads asking about this. Not 'long lasting' by any means, but you can get good mileage out of them for sure, im sure 20k is very attainable.

I think had mine on for at least 20,000 miles, plus a few track days. They're stacked up in my garage and still have a little bit of tread, although I don't see myself remounting them.

front belts snapped and started smacking the fenderwell at about 45K. The rears are still on right now...about 50K...I've had the car for 5 years.

I'm a cheapass when it comes to tires...

Wow!

Mine lasted a lot less, maybe 5000 miles. They will NOT survive novice autocrossing!
