200 Miles on a Cruiser!? NO WAI!!!1169
The weather was absolutely perfect around these parts yesterday so here's what I did...
A college buddy of mine rode down from Philly so we could go out for a ride. We had a trip all planned out two years ago but we had to cancel due to Katrina. He then had a kid last year so his wife wasn't letting him out of her sight. He rides a Vulcan 750 so I took BoboChrome out for the day.
Interestingly enough, Google's estimated time is about what it took us with a few stops to gas up and lunch. I'd estimated about 200 miles but turns out it was on the nose. It felt weird doing 211 on a cruiser and strangely I only saw 4 sportbikes on it. The weather was actually pretty chilly up on the mountain but it felt great given our current pattern.
My hips are a bit sore from the wind buffeting but other than that I'm no worse for the wear. I have a Corbin and it performed most excellently during the entire duration of the trip. I've done 200 mile days on the SVS and the cruiser is defintiely more comfortable.

I'm more comfy on my Speed Triple than my fathers BMW K1200RS
Sometimes a bike just doesn't fit ya.

Looks like a nice trip. I did 140 miles on my ninja 250 last saturday, and my wrists were killing me on the way home. I'm leaning on the bars too much.
What did you use to plot out your course like that?

Man, i wish there were good roads around here... ohio sucks.
Couple of years ago I did 660 miles in 1 day and ~2400 miles total round trip on my old CBR 600F2; Boulder CO to International Falls MN in 3 days each way.
It was nice, except around Duluth where the temp dropped by about 20 deg.

Yeah... and interestingly the previous owner said he wasn't even aware of it despite the recall being dated December '05. I don't do much riding at night so I figured I'd just get it fixed next service.
