It's more likely the rear main seal on the motor or the oil pan gasket, if it's coming from in the clutch housing area. Make sure it's not coming from up higher though, or dripping from another part of the engine or transmission.

if it is there it most likely means two things

could be main seal is worn out which is pricey
this would mean motor oil leaking

or could be just a transmission output seal shot
this would be tranmission(red colored like) oil leaking

Check the easy stuff first (Valve cover gasket, exhaust cam plug, vtec solenoid gasket).

Auto or manual?

If fluid is red, it's ATF and is the input shaft seal.

If the fluid is oil, it could either be leaking from the engine or the tranny.

it's a dohc zc. 5spd. using old rear main seal. that could be it. it's leaking from underneath. usng royal purple. same in the motor but 5w30. color is the same. my guess is the rear main.

If it started after you switched to that stuff, then it is probably from the oil. Keep in mind RP breaks down too fast, make sure you keep the OCI's around 2k mi.

Edit: Keep Honda MTF or Synchromesh in your tranny... Redline/RP Tranny fluid SUCKS.

i had the same problem with my zc but it wasnt the rear main seal, it was actually the input shaft bearing that was fucked up and it caused the input shaft seal to be fucked.

Ended up taking the whole tranny apart and replacing all the seals.

Just some advice, i wouldnt use synthetic oil in a transmission,

pull the motor and check both main seal and input shaft bearing. check around the hub/quill. your going to have to replace the clutch disc for sure

The disc becomes impregnated with the leaking oil and deteriorates the braking surface. I didn't replace a disc once [this was in my Porsche] when I replaced my rear main, and a few weeks later had the entire disc shatter and had to take the whole thing apart again.
