Hey, I know it's pretty hard to diagnose with hearing or seeing the car but here's what I've got.

I just had my car in the shop to have new CV Boots put on my 1997 Civic Ex. I had no problems with noise at all before I had the repair done. Now, as I drive, I get a weird "rotating" noise coming from underneath the car, which is mostly only noticable while you're inside (not audible from outside). It speeds up as the car does, as slows and gets louder as I slow down. The car seems to be driving fine otherwise, but the noise is quite irritating and can get loud. I also notice a "rubbing" type noise when I make a hard left turn.

If I can describe things better or if anyone has any questions that might help solve this...it'd really help! I can't take it back to the original mechanic as I am 300 miles away (the repair was an early christmas gift from my parents).

 

take the car back to the shop asap.

 

yah im with spade on this one. if it has been doing this since you had the work done on it, then it is their oblogation to fix it. as far as what you are hearing, it is hard to say. most of the time when the cv joints go to **** they will click when you are turning.
