secondary o2 on a 99 civic?
Assuming you are re-using your DX harness:
Extend the wires, and make sure to solder and use heatshrink. If you don't want to do that, DC Sports makes an O2 sensor extension which can be had for around $30 if I recall correctly.

The EX/Si secondary O2 sensor plug and wiring is separate from the engine harness. You will need to hardwire it since you are using the Si harness. I can get you the proper pinouts to wire it up if you can't find them online.
i'm having the same problem. I have a 98 DX, just installed a d16y8 engine and 96-98 EX harness. Can't plug the secondary O2 sensor to any plugs on the engine harness so I assume it's the same as above that I have to hardwire it to the ecu. Question is...what is hardwiring and how do I do it?

Okay this is how you do it. Jack up the car and look above the cat. you'll see a plug like plastic.....run the secondary o2 wire through there....extend the wire on the engine harness through the firewall and connect it....you'll get the idea.......

It means that you are running your own wiring and connecting the O2 sensor directly to the proper pinouts on the ECU.

(viewed from the pin side on the male plug)
For the 96-98 OBDII ecu:
1 (green) goes to D13 (green/ blk) for sensor ground
2 (white) goes to D14 (white/ red) for sensor signal
3 (blk/white) goes to A5 (blk/ white) for heater signal
4 (blk/yellow) needs to "TAP" into A11 (yellow/ blk) for 12v power
So I make my own wires from the secondary o2 sensor, extend it long enough, and "splice" them into the engine harness wires right before the "A" and "D" plugs at these location: D13, D14, A5, A11 ???
