Default Amp's acting funny in new install.

Need some quick help as I really only have today to finish installing the new stereo in my truck.

I have two 160a2 amplifiers that I have had installed in several of my cars. I pulled them out of storage and paired them to two comp VR 10 inch subs. One each.

Right now I have built the racks the box and installed the everything wiring wise.

I am getting very little sound out of my subs right now, just enough to fell them vibrate if I crank the gain way up.

I checked the grounds as well as the power lines and remote lines, can't seem to figure it out. I have seen something like this once when I drained my battery during a install but I check the battery with a tested and it looks good.

I have used all of this equipment in the past and I can;t believe that I lost tow amps at the same time/

sounds like its a problem with the signal getting to the amp. double check your RCA's and also make sure you have the sub output turned on and at a normal volume. also are the speakers wired up in phase with each other?

Will do, I am using tie in's for the signal right now because there was a factory sub in the back and I am just pulling of the low levels and converting to high levels for the amps.

I am going to use my ipod interconnects to the amps because I know that I can run test tones through that right into the high level rca's

when I was new to amps and subs, I had a cutoff frequency to protect my mid and high speakers... well at first, my sub channel in the amp shared this frequency and then bam, it had its sound taken almost all the way down. I recomment setting everything to default and checking your cut off frequencies both on headunit, crossovers, amp and such, other than that.. hrm... amp mute on? if you have that function...

Got it figured out, one of my RCA converters was busted bypassed it and it works like a charm.
