Swapped B16 from DX Civic to EX Civic..Speedo working w/ RPMs??? HELP!
I had a 93 Civic DX Coupe which had a 1st gen B16A. Last night, I took out the motor and swapped it into my 95 Civic EX Coupe. Everyone said it was plug and play so on I went, my very first swap and by myself w/ no air tools. It was a bitch, but somehow I managed to install it.
Anyway, I should start off with all details first. When I took out my Z6, I also removed A/C and Power Steering. I wanted to remove Cruise Control as well, but it's still in the engine bay. Theh unit is unplugged so I'm not sure if it has anything to do w/ what's happening. My VTEC Solonoid wire is disconnected because the plug is broken so I wil lhave to rewire it to connect them together (they were cut).
Every plug was plugged in and everything seemed fine. I turned it to the "ON" position to see if I could hear the fuel pump, which I did. I cranked her, and she started with ease. RPMs were working, but I noticed that my speedometer was going along w/ the RPMs as well. THAT was the problem. There's also a CEL that I didn't dianose yet because my main concern is the speedo.
Can anyone help me out?
Why is the speedometer working along w/ the RPMs?

Yes, the car is currectly in the air.... so the hub is actually moving. But it doesn't make sense that when I rev, the speedo also increases at the same rate as the RPMs..
and yes, it's already chipped..
