DIY lower control arm bushing removal?
Without the use of a press, is there a way to remove old bushing and install new ones without using a press? Is there a way to do it with a vice or something? Im just trying to avoid the labor charge for this since I had it done before and was surprised and pissed when I found out how much it cost.

this is what I was thinking about trying...assuming i could find a socket or something to fit properly
dan thanks for the offer but ill just pay the labor charges rather than deal with NYC/LI traffic

Follow the instruction on Team Integra... use the Energy Suspension replacement stuff and you won't have to press a new bushing in.

thats a lot of work
its a lot easier to just press them out
only takes 1min per bushing

Agreed it a bit of work but if both the shock bushing bolt and the outer control arm bolt are seized (like on my car) and you can't remove the control arm from the car this is an easy way for someone to do it in their suspension install in the driveway.
bump up...
ok so i got my bushing out...and have my new oem replacement...how can i put it back in..im assuming it shouldnt just slide in..does it need to be pressed in?...is there a tool i can rent to press it back in, with out taking the arm off the car, i dont want to risk breaking another bolt PITA!
edit***never mind, that was easy, haha...i went down to canadian tire and rented a upper control arm bushing remover....for a demostic car or light truck, lol apparently it works on a LCA bushing on a honda too.
