lower control arm bushings
Anyone know how to remove the front inner lower control arm bushing on a 92-95 civic? I'm having a hell of time removing this bushing to replace it with a new one. Looks like it's pressed in. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove this thing. I have to go to work tomorrow and no shops are open on sunday to press this thing out.
so I take it out of all the h-t users not one person can answer this question for me? This is very important and if a h-t user had a problem that I could answer I would surly help that person out if I could.
Here is what I do. Grab a butane torch. Torch the hell outta that old bushing. Use a hammer or anything to punch out the rubber portion. Use a sawzall to cut the metal ring into 2-3 pieces. Use a hammer and a punch/screwdriver to punch out the metal ring. Press in your new bushing. Im sure there are other quicker ways but thats what I have used time and time again. HTH
