Default Ripped off. Recommend me a good security system.

I was parked pretty much in front of a cop booth at school, and some crackheads hit four cars. Parking garage had all of its metal link gates down so no one could even walk through without walking by the cops. Damaged about as much as they got out of my car, like breaking the radio cluster bezel, prying the window and breaking stuff there, pried up my locked trunk lever, consequently breaking my gas lever (I had to break the cable end out of the inside from the trunk to refuel). Got my headunit which is insured by ECLIPSE, did get my jl 300/4 amp after a failure at trying to pry my trunk open......

Can't trust the cops to do their job, so what should I do? I'm going to relocate the hood cable into the compartment in case someone else actually comes and tries to disable the system. Relayed truck air horns from the alarm. (By the way, what are hood pins?) Door sensors connected by the old stock speaker wires since it's easier than running another set of cables, and they're already there behind the dash.

I'm willing to pay maybe $300 for a security system which I will install myself. It would be nice, but not necessary to have remote start. I want two door sensors and the ability to connect that relayed truck airhorn. If I can get that proximity chirp, that would also be nice.

It happened a little over a week ago, but I still wish that I were there right now with a Colt.

i got a viper responder alarm on my 97 accord. doesn't have all the goodies like remote start or the automatice window relay. but it does work. it's a pager alarm so your keychain beeps if you alaram is set off. i think the model is like the v690 or something. anyways, go with anything from Directed for alarms.

I can get you the avantguard 5 (top of the live from clifford and has remote start) check out http://clifford.com for more info. shipping will be 10. If you want the smart windows it will be 75 and shipping be 10 if ordered separate and free if ordered together. Plus I would recommend the wireless immobilizer (don't have the price yet) cause they are extremely helpful. If you want a different clifford alarm like a lower model or something let me know I can get you a great deal!
