Here's a question, you know how on some hondas theres a option to lock the interior trunk release handle, but does locking that actually prevent the ability to open the trunk from the inside? It just seems like a piece of plastic, couldn't they just break it and use it?

Are you talking about the key inside. If you look under the trunk lid you should see a linkage that you can twist a little plastic piece and pull off the linkage.

 

yeah if they break into your car they can still break the "lock" mechanism and pull the latch cable to unlock the trunk... I put in a secondary lock system.. but for the safety and security of my car and the amps and subs in the back.. I'd rather not say how my secondary lock is setup.. sorry..

 

My suggestion to you would be to simply lock the trunk from the outside if you are worried that much about it.
