Well if the car won't move then it seems like it's a good time to take the transmission apart and take a look.

It seems like the axle stub could have sheared right at the end of the side gear splines. To transfer power to the driver side requires both spider and side gears plus the spider gear pin to be intact. Even if the LSD was toast, it would still be able to move the car just like a non- LSD diff would.

Since the axle stub end fits into the side gear splines but hasn't dropped out completely, this is my guess given the info you provided. This will likely be the case if you firmly grab the pass side inner CV and attempt to move it around. You'll likely detect some slop but the driver side will have no perceptible play. In other words, you're halfshaft is now about 1 1/2 inches shorter.
