i am almost done with buildin my LS my question is that my engine is turbo prepped and ready...im gonna send my head out to be port and polish and recut for my new valves afta that is complete should install aftermarket cams and sprokets to break it in for tha winter time??? tha valves are aftermarket and im plannin to get turbo profile cams and sprokets so should i in stall it anyways becuz tha turbo wont go in til tha spring time..

yep you can put it all together. for some strange reason....some people say you gotta break it in with light driving......other people say to beat the **** out of it cuz the rings seat better under more engine heat. I'd do some searching here on HT to make sure. But yeah...you can put the cams in. I wouldnt drive it hard at all without tuning. My friend melted 4 pistons driving it untuned and only breaking it in

 

why spend 500 bucks on cams and gears for 4 months? just leave the stock ones in there and wait for b00st! dont do aftermarket cams with b00st either. they do nothing but hurt ya. just leave em stock. and leave the gears stock as well, unless you wanna look cool with them

 

question?? wouldnt aftamarket cams give me betta air flow for more boost?? my comp is 8.5:1 so wouldnt i need more air and exhaust for my turbo setup..?
