Stock Cams or Crower 62402T-2 for LS/Turbo set up
Hey all.....I began an N/A build and picked up some Crower 62404-2 cams for my LS. I decided afterwards to go with a turbo set up instead. I spoke with crower and they said I could exchange the cams for the turbo 62402T-2 cams. My question is for an LS would my money be better spent selling the 404's and just going with the stock LS cams and using the money towards getting the rest of my set up or should I go ahead and pay for shipping to get the Crower turbo cams?

I would only have to pay shipping about $40 both ways.....or I could sell the 404's around Houston and use that for other components.

Well I don't have them yet.....I'd have to ship the 404's back for the 402T's......I'm really just trying to find out what kind of difference the 402T cams will make compared to stock?

Keep the 404's. Yes, you can turbo with them, makes for a great powerband when cam gears are used. Check in the LS-turbo thread, there was a big talk about them.
I have 403's, and they are great.

I don't want to keep the 404's because of their higher duration and having to worry about blow-through....anyone know if the 402T's will add much power to the set up over the stock LS cams?

what's your end goal? i had a set of 403's and one 404 intake cam. i was in the same boat as i wanted to do a NA LS (but boost > na..haha). i sold the cams because i only want 300whp. it would have been cool to boost on them, but i can make that power on turbo w/stockcams.

Re: (Flexin5)
Goals aren't anything extreme.....only shooting for around 250-275 whp.....I've already replaced my gears, valves, springs, retainers, intake mani, 63mm tb, and a port job on the head. Also have ARP headstuds and rod bolts with GSR pistons......this is a daily driver so it needs to be reliable.....I am sure stock cams would be fine for my goal I'm just a perfectionist so if the 404's would be the 3rd best option then I don't want them.....seems if I just go with stock cams I should have no problem reaching those goals with the proper turbo set up.
