Default timing

does anyone have a write-up or can explain how to adjust timing on an h22a, nothing came up in search and the helms doesnt say anything that i could find

Im gonna assume you mean ignition timing. rotate your distributor. If you search on it, there are a lot of posts about it. I forget which way is advance, which way is retard.

i got that part, but do u have to take off the bottom timing belt cover or can u use the lines on the flywheel with a timing light...???

A timing light should be all you need. You shoudn't need to take off a timing belt cover...

but where do i shine the timing light...the little hole where i can see the flywheel or...???

Yes, It's all in the Helms. Go the the electrical section and read the
table of contents,you should be able to find exact instrutions on how to do it

awww...there it is...2 pages out of 1600 can be hard to miss....thanks

it doesnt say though, do you rotate the dist to adj timing while the car is on or do u turn it off, adj, then turn it back on and check, and then turn it off and adj more if needed???

Adjust it while it's on, but make sure you jump the service connector so the ECU doesn't correct what you change.

Umm I dont get what ur sayin? I doesnt seem to know that much so I could see him tryin to adjust timing with it stone cold instead of at N O T.
