Default D15b1 ? ? ? ? ?

What is a D15b1? I thought the baseline engine's ( like in the STD ) were d15b2. What is the difference between the two? . . . . C/R? . . . etc?

I looked on http://www.hondaswap.com/forum...29825 and it's not listed.

70 hp instead of 92 hp from the dx.
Now, if you wanna know the engine specs.... nobody is gonna take the time to research anything on a 70 hp engine...
I have it...

Well I don't want all the specs but what I really need is to know what my c/r would be with a D15b1 w/ d16y8 Head gasket and a d16a6 head.

That you had a bad rod?
I don't get it . . . . Many people here have built these motors with little to NO trouble.

these motors arent that bad, there just the same as any other d15. The comp in the 1.5's is 9.6:1 opposed to the comp in the a6 which is 9.0. So u can figure you ratio out with that figure in mind. I had a b1/z6 mini me for a while. Once you swap to MPFI and get an si tranny the b1 runs just fine.

yes there is, but it doesnt really do much if u make the ports bigger or remove it. Swap to MPFI to get real gains.

It won't work due to the fact that the B1 pistons only have valve reliefs for an eight valve cylinder head, and as we all known the A6 head has sixteen magical valves.

Are you sure? . . . Cause I hear conflicting info.

Every where I look it say's 16 valves , 70 hp 1.5l

The only 8 valves are d15b6 and d15b8

Well damn, I feel extra stupid. I have been schooled, and after digging into myself I have indeed confused the B6 and the B8 with the B1
