Default ca smog motor swap question

i did a search and could not find anything but this is what i was wondering. i have a 2000 si with a stock motor. i was wondering if i could just buy an integra type r shortblock and reuse everything else from my car. i want a usdm motor which has to be 2000 or newer so i can get it bar'd right? so what about the ecu and stuff? can i use everything that i already have or do i have to use like the ecu from the type r motor? where can i get a usdm type r motor shortblock? will the gains be worth it to do this? what timing belt and stuff like that will i have to use in the event i do swap the shortblock? sorry for all the questions. thanks for your time

It will work if you:
-use the usdm it-r intake mani
-use a 2000 it-r ecu (p73)

you would use all b18c5 parts to finish it off (water pump, head studs). the itr head is pretty much the same as the b16 (pr3) head, but it has a mild p&p, hotter cams, and upgraded valvetrain

so i would have to use an itr timing belt? the reason i'm asking is because i bought the whole 60000 mile maintenance parts for the b16a2. i bought a timing belt, water pump, tensioner, all accessory belts, crank seal, and cam seals. which parts can i use?

I dont know if you could use any of those seeing as the B18 is a bigger motor. You might be able to use the water pump though. Dont quote me on that though.

if you buy a new block from honda they dont come stamped. so i dont think smoging it would be a problem. even if it is stamped you shouldnt have a problem smogging it. ive never seen a shop that reads the stamping on the block. especially if the car comes with a dohc motor.
about everthings else. i think it should all bolt up
