Default QUESTION: B18B Rods in a B16A to Increase Stroke?

Will that work and is it a good idea? Just saw a full set on eBay with stock pistons for $0.99 and just made me curious...

I thought B18B had longer rods than a B16A...

Or does the crank make up the extra 8 or 9mm in stroke?

teh crank will determine stroke, rods jsut determine where the pistons sit in the cylidners and things like side loading, dwell time etc.

....also, you wouldn't wanna use B16 rods with your LS crank & block anyways. B16 rods are shorter than LS rods, yer piston wouldn't even reach the top of the deck at TDC.
