Ok, So, if it says it should be istalled at an intake centerline of 109, vs. the 106 of the stage 2 which was supposed to be installed such as that with a stock gear (it says that on the bottom of the card for stage 2), I should then have the stage 3 retarded 1.5 degrees from a stock gear (since 1 degree on the cam = 2 on the crank), to meet the 109 intake centerline (i assume atdc) installation on the cam card, right? I understand the playing with sprocket timing, and I will on the dyno, however, I just want to understand the intake centerline info on the card and see if I am right....
You should install it straight up or no advance. If you will look at the lobe separation on both cards they are different also. That difference in timing is ground into the camshaft. If you degreed both cams with a degree wheel. At straight up the stage 2 cam should be on a 106 centerline with a 110 degree lobe separation. And the stage 3 should be on a 109 centerline with a 113 lobe separation.

ok, thanks, i think i understand, so, on a degree wheel, if the cams are installed like a factory cam, the intake center line for stage 2 will be at 106 and the intake centerline for the stage 3 will be at 109...got it...
thanks again
thanks again
