Idle dipping, minimal, but still dips.
I am wondering on how to fix this. When at idle, it tends to dip a tad, but not to where you think the car is going to shut down. In fact it dips to about 500rpm.
Is there an "idler valve adjustment screw" like on VW's? Or am I totally off on this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

theres a fast idle thermo valve, but you can't really adjust it. make sure theres nothing loose inside, and clean the idle air control valve (IACV) on the back of the intake mani.
adjust your base idle like so: warm up car, turn all your accesories off (because they can mess up the process by increasing idle) unplug the IACV, and it'll want to stall.
theres a small adjustment screw inside of the throttle body, and adjust that til' your tach reads about 450 rpm. when you plug the IACV back in, your idle should be around 750 or so. adjust til you get it right.

It be right above your throttle inlet below and off to the side of the map sensor(providing the map sensor is in the TB on your vehicle). Its a pretty big screw you can't miss it.
According to haynes... it says I gotta unplug the Idle Air Control (IAC) sensor and then turn the screw? Is that screw right by the IAC sensor if so.... than i cant reach it cuz its facing the firewall. Maybe i'm looking at the wrong screw....?
haynes are lame...unplug and IAC turn on the car...your car will die out...
when the car is off...unplug IAC set ur idle...plug IAC back on read ur idling after warm...reset ecu if necessary....
i dont follow this step i just adjust it

Use a separate tach or frequency measurement on a DMM or something like that. Tach in the cluster isn't too great down there at 500.
Here's how you adjust the 'base idle' on my '95. Most years are probably similar.
First check the FITV for loose parts, clean it & the TB, IACV; get the normal tune-up stuff up to date.
Warm the engine up completely, turn off all accessories. Unplug the IACV, it'll want to stall. If you're careful you can slowly let the throttle close & keep it running. Adjust the screw to idle at 450 rpm. When you plug the IACV back in, it'll raise the idle up where it should be.
