HOLY CRAP!! Nice video, was that a fish on his hood? Didn't seem to make him go faster.

I like the imports because you can make some really decent power (or even power to weight ratio) and still have decent fuel economy, after all, most of us still have to drive to work and school and such. The import companies have made some nice looking cars for a long time whereas the US domestic market is just now figuring out how to make something that doesn't look like a pile of dung.

vtech i can do turbo, i dont no if i wanna sink that kinda money into a car i might not like or be able to sell and get it back from. i get pretty good mpg on my 88 350 formula as long as i don't get on it. that video is sick. but i gurentee the 12.5 hatch costed more than 14,000. in which case he coulda got an new f-body with a ls1!!! Which on a good tire (nitto) can run 12.7ish STOCK

I guess it's also the humiliation factor too. How embarrassing is it to have a good ol' American sports car and have your *** handed to you by some little rice rocket? It makes me laugh every time. I have a bunch of friends in Dallas that mod Miata's. There are some really sweet cars there and it's funny as hell every time they smoke some Corvette or Mustang. Any rice car really, I also have a friend with a Supra pushing around 750-800HP and you can bet he loves smoking everyone. The car just looks like some nice clean little Jap car, until he's long gone. Even the Porsche's hang their head in shame. It's soooooo funny!

Cool Dudes. Welcome to h-t.

BTW- what does a ls1 swap go for.. Just wondering because they seem like the most sought after motor for the domestic market.
