Default b16 crx

I've got a b16 crx just finished, but in my ongoing tinkering I've decided to fully build a motor this summer. I'm gonna buy a b18b. so my question is this which one should I build for more performance? b16 has low torque but putting the amount of parts into either of these blocks I really dont know how the numbers will come out. a fully built turbo'd b16a or fully built ls vtec turbo's? I already have the b16 but I'll still need a block to drive with while doing the work myself. which one would you choose for the bigger numbers?
