Awhile back i installed a sony xplod headunit in the bottom slot of my 97 civic ex so i could keep my stock headunit and have keyless entry. Now i want to put my xplod headunit in the factory slot so i can use my cupholders. Ive tried to stuff the factory headunit behind the dash but there is just not enough room. Is it possible i can take the outer casing off the factory headunit and wrap it up? Do you guys have any other suggestions? By the way i did search.

The stock deck will fit back there I've done it before. Get creative =]

Try behind the center console as far down as possible, to where if you stick your head down in either footwell area you will be able to see it.. good luck.
