AFter I got my ITR smog tested, the engine light keeps coming on once in a while. IF i turn off the motor, then restart it, it's no longer there. I took it to the Honda dealership and they couldnt' do a diagnostic because i'm running a hondata s200. The previous owner suggested that I unplug the battery for ten minutes so the ECU will reset itself. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? It can get really annoying to be driving around with teh engine light on.

 

What are your modifications, with out that its hard to say...
also your mileage, last time you tuned it who tuned it and what have you changed recently?

 

i don't think you can "reset" the hondata like an OEM ECU.. I could be wrong though as I'm just getting into Hondata and its intricacies..

check if a cel code is being stored and find out what it is..
